About The Position

We are seeking a Sr Quality Specialist for our Manawa, WI facility, a leading manufacturer of dry blend products. The Sr Quality Specialist supports and manages implementation of quality systems and compliance programs that uphold food safety, product quality, GFSI, customer, and regulatory standards across the enterprise. This role provides regulatory guidance, supports site audits, manages documentation, tracks regulatory activity, and supports quality systems, warehouse quality, and manufacturing sites during escalated situations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality systems, and auditing practices is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, implement, and maintain training, procedures, and compliance documentation is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
  • PCQI, SQF Practitioner certification, and Food Defense Program leadership exposure are preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop the Quality Assurance team and ensure scheduling needs are met.
  • Provide leadership and technical assistance to help resolve quality-related problems.
  • Manage manufacturing compliance documentation in alignment with federal, state, and internal standards.
  • Assist with development, implementation, and revision of food safety and quality programs and policies.
  • Provide regulatory and manufacturing compliance guidance on emerging issues and industry standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource in regulatory and GFSI compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits, conducting desk and on-site reviews as needed.
  • Lead or support resolution of quality-related issues, including customer complaints, product holds, and deviations.
  • Oversee or contribute to training development, including quality and food safety training content and Learning Management System support.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Document Control, SPC, GFSI, HACCP, Preventive Controls, and other quality initiatives.
  • Provide support to manufacturing sites, quality systems, and warehouse quality teams during escalated or special situations.
  • Track and report quality systems and audit performance KPIs.
  • Track regulatory activity and assist with management of import alerts and export documentation as needed.
  • Support supplier compliance monitoring, specifications management, and continuous improvement activities.
