About The Position

Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Quality Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Dr, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. This role serves as the local expert and process owner for Quality Gates and Risk Releases, coaching the organization on all aspects of these processes for various project types including Platform, System, Component, Hardware, and Software. The position is also the local expert for the One Q tool (Quality Gate Tool) and involves management and leadership of the Quality Gate Moderation team in the region, including associate development. The role requires transferring corporate/division requirements into local specifications, implementing, monitoring, and further developing Quality Gate and Risk Release methods, and developing/executing training courses. It also includes organizing and leading the local Quality Gate network, participating in the global working group "Quality Gates", conducting Quality Gate Moderations, driving timely approvals and closure of measures, and collecting/analyzing data for executive reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Quality Gate Moderator, Manufacturing Quality Leader, or occupation involving Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Employment experience with Six Sigma Black Belt or similar problem-solving tool.
  • Employment experience with Quality Gate Process and One Q tool.
  • Employment experience with AIAG Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA or SPC).
  • Employment experience with product development lifecycle (from requirements gathering through verification and validation activities).
  • Employment experience with structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, requirements documentation, rigorous verification, or GD&T).
  • Employment experience with project management, engineering purchasing concepts, engineering manufacturing concepts and processes to ensure compliance to quality gate standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as local expert and process owner for Quality Gates and Risk Releases.
  • Coach the organization on all aspects of Quality Gates and Risk Releases for Platform, System, Component, Hardware, Software, and Relocation projects.
  • Act as the local expert for One Q for all project types (Quality Gate Tool).
  • Manage and lead the Quality Gate Moderation team in the region, including associate development.
  • Transfer Corporate/Division requirements into local specifications and support implementation.
  • Implement, monitor, and further develop Quality Gate and Risk Release methods in the region.
  • Develop and execute training courses for Quality Gates, Tools, and Risk Releases, including regional adaptations.
  • Organize, lead, and coordinate the local Quality Gate network, including lessons learned and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the global working group "Quality Gates" ("Functional Council").
  • Conduct Quality Gate Moderations for all project types.
  • Drive the organization to ensure timing requirements are met for Quality Gate/Risk Release approvals and closure of measures.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data for executive reporting.
