About The Position

The Sr Quality & Compliance Spec will be responsible for developing and implementing an organizational wide quality management program for FLDRN, for ensuring the organizations compliance with internal policies and procedures and all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational performance improvement. He/she will be responsible for collaborating with the Executive Director, Medical Director and departmental Directors/Managers on the organization’s quality assurance processes and will conduct ongoing monitoring of internal and external process occurrences for trend analyses. He/she will perform a variety of tasks in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. He/she will be responsible for preparation of site surveys and audits by regulatory agencies such as CMS, AOPO, UNOS, and FDA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in health administration, nursing or other health care related field required
  • 5 years relevant experience required
  • Prior experience working in an OPO, quality department, quality role preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common industry-related journals, financial reports, and legal documents preferred
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the business community preferred
  • Ability to effectively write reports and articles that conform to appropriate style and format preferred
  • Six-Sigma training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management and supervision of Quality Systems Staff.
  • Development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Performance Improvement.
  • Reports to Management team as well as FLDRN Advisory Board
  • Ensures thorough and accurate compliance with all pertinent federal, local and regulatory agencies and laws.
  • Reviews all Policies and Procedures, reviews all occurrence reports; performs RCA’s, monitors for proposed regulatory changes will affect operations, oversees and leads internal and external audits (CMS and OPTN); responds to all regulatory agencies
  • Oversee auditing process of referrals and cases documentation.
  • Participates as a member of FLDRN’s leadership team in meetings, strategic planning etcs.
  • Works in a collaborative fashion with the leadership team.
  • Ensures staff competency in all areas as appropriate.
  • Attends all relevant FLDRN meetings and assists with the accomplishment of the mission.
