As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our software platforms. You will design and implement robust automation frameworks, integrate testing into modern development pipelines, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to drive quality across the full software lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong experience in QA automation for web applications with hands-on technical expertise
  • Advanced proficiency with Selenium WebDriver or comparable browser automation tools
  • Experience designing or improving automation frameworks with a focus on scalability and maintainability
  • Solid understanding of API testing and database validation within an automation strategy
  • Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving automation reliability
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence quality practices and contribute to technical decision-making
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work remotely within Canada with availability overlapping Eastern Time hours

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web-based applications
  • Build and execute automated test suites across UI, API, and database layers
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable feedback
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve automation issues, including flaky tests and environment inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Define and implement automation strategies based on risk, business impact, and system complexity
  • Continuously improve testing frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and coverage
  • Support release readiness by ensuring appropriate test coverage and quality standards are met
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on automation best practices
