As a Sr. IT Project Manager, you’ll lead complex, enterprise‑level technology programs that fuel Whataburger’s digital evolution and business growth. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience leading complex IT programs or initiatives
  • Proven success delivering large‑scale, cross‑functional technology programs
  • Strong understanding of modern system architectures and integrations
  • Experience managing dependencies across multiple teams and platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with business strategy
  • Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives
  • Background working with agile or scaled agile delivery frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms and modern development practices
  • Program or agile certifications (e.g., PMI‑ACP, SAFe Agilist)
  • Experience mentoring project or program managers

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple, complex enterprise technology programs end‑to‑end
  • Own integrated program plans covering scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risk
  • Direct cross‑functional teams across engineering, architecture, and business functions
  • Manage technical dependencies across APIs, microservices, middleware, and integrations
  • Translate technical designs into executable, business‑aligned delivery plans
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive milestone achievement
  • Communicate program status, insights, and decisions to senior leadership
  • Mentor teams and advance program delivery standards and best practices
