About The Position

HGA's CWG markets is seeking an architectural Sr Project Manager (Sr PM) to join our San Francisco, CA office. As a Sr PM, you must possess 15+ years of architectural and project management expertise, responsible for leading the firm’s most complex, high-value projects and programs. This role provides strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring operational excellence, design quality, and client satisfaction at the highest level. This role will influence firm-wide standards, mentor emerging leaders, and drive initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability, and market positioning. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and a key contributor to business development, this role is critical to advancing the firm’s reputation and growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 7 years in senior project management roles.
  • Expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and advanced project management tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and integrated project delivery.

  • Architectural licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct large-scale, multi-phase projects or portfolios with significant business impact.
  • Develop and implement strategic work plans, budgets, and resource allocation for complex programs.
  • Ensure technical rigor, design excellence, and compliance across all phases.
  • Serve as a senior-level client advisor; lead negotiations and strategic presentations.
  • Drive client retention and expansion; actively contribute to business development and market positioning.
  • Mentor and coach project managers and senior staff; build leadership capacity across studios.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within project teams.
  • Influence firm-wide operations, including staffing strategies, profitability targets, and resource planning.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and implement best practices across studios.
  • Oversee contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for complex, multi-project programs.
  • Manage risk proactively and ensure compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
