The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB) governance process to ensure effective oversight of new technologies and significant modifications to existing systems across MFS and its subsidiaries. This role ensures technology initiatives align with enterprise architecture principles, risk management standards, and strategic objectives. In addition, this role plays a key leadership position in advancing the firm’s Technology Innovation Program by driving initiatives that foster innovation, experimentation, and responsible adoption of emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven 8 – 10 years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong background in enterprise technology, architecture, or systems implementation.
  • Exceptional facilitation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to drive discussions to resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Deep understanding of cloud environments, AI technologies, vendor solutions, and technology risk management.

  • Experience supporting or leading innovation programs or emerging technology initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end EARB governance process.
  • Ensure alignment of new and modified technology solutions with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
  • Improve governance cycle time, decision quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and transparency.
  • Identify, document, and escalate technology risks while ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Drive stakeholder readiness, education, and engagement across business and technology teams.
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives within the Technology Innovation Program to promote emerging technologies and innovative thinking.
  • Lead and facilitate the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB), including agenda setting, documentation, and decision tracking.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of proposed technologies with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technology strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of governance processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve stakeholder experience.
  • Identify architectural, cybersecurity, operational, compliance, and vendor risks and ensure appropriate escalation and mitigation.
  • Lead Technology Innovation Program initiatives such as AI hackathons, speaker events, innovation showcases, and emerging technology pilots.
  • Coach and train stakeholders on governance expectations, submission requirements, and effective participation.
  • Provide technical thought leadership by asking probing questions and validating scalability, integration, security, and support considerations.
  • Influence and partner with senior leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution of complex issues.
  • Promote technology consolidation and rationalization to reduce redundancy and improve operational efficiency.
  • Establish and report on governance and innovation metrics to leadership.
