About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology projects within SS&C GIDS, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence. You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably within the financial services or software industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SS&C GIDS products or services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, including detailed tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and accountability.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and budget, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to SS&C GIDS project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between project team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced project team members.
