Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in new product development
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering concepts, assess risks, and collaborate effectively with technical teams
  • High emotional intelligence and influential leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Proven ability to set expectations, hold teams accountable, and communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or working with physical products
  • Familiarity with project management software tools
  • Agile mindset and adaptability to work across global time zones (Madison Wisconsin, Europe, China)
  • Experience driving process improvements within a PMO environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex engineering and new product development projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk objectives are met.
  • Maintain clear project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers to promote transparency and shared understanding.
  • Drive project milestones, manage multiple projects (2-6 at a time), and ensure successful delivery on time and within scope.
  • Act as a key liaison between engineering, product, operations, supply chain, and other technical teams.
  • Lead by influence, fostering alignment and accountability without direct reports.
  • Run meetings, drive actions, escalate issues, and maintain clear, empathetic communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Provide structured reporting to leadership and PMO governance forums.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and workflows.
  • Champion disciplined, repeatable project management practices across the portfolio.
  • Contribute to PMO initiatives that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors and support the development of a world-class safety culture.
