This role is part of the Business Operations and Efficiency organization, which supports our Blue National Security business unit. Our mission is to maximize operational productivity and enable data-driven decision-making across Blue Origin through intelligent automation, analytics infrastructure, and operational excellence that allows teams to accomplish more with existing resources. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists and analysts, you will work as a Senior Project Manager, Secure Facility Expansion responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, design, construction, and accreditation of multiple classified facilities across the country. You will serve as the primary project management lead for a significant multi-site secure facility expansion program, coordinating across internal stakeholders, external construction managers, architects, and government accrediting officials to deliver compliant, on-schedule, and cost-effective facilities. This is a high-visibility program with direct executive sponsorship and meaningful impact on Blue Origin's ability to pursue and execute national security missions. Requirements

  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of project management experience in facilities construction, including direct responsibility for construction schedules, budgets, and contractor management
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site or multi-phase construction programs simultaneously
  • Strong proficiency in cost management and budget tracking for construction projects, including change order management and cost forecasting
  • Experience leading Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) or similar construction coordination meetings
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments including internal leadership, external contractors, and government or regulatory bodies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear executive-level status reports and briefings
  • Travel up to 50% required to support active construction sites across multiple U.S. locations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience project managing ICD-705 compliant SCIF or SAPF construction, including familiarity with Construction Security Plans (CSPs) and government Accrediting Official (AO) coordination
  • Familiarity with TEMPEST, acoustic (STC), and physical security requirements for classified facilities
  • Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or national security industry environments
  • Familiarity with ICD-705 or related Intelligence Community Directives governing secure facility construction

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for a multi-site secure facility construction program, including planning, design, construction execution, and government accreditation across multiple simultaneous locations
  • Manage and report on a Master Schedule spanning all active construction sites, tracking parallel milestones and critical path items across each location
  • Own program cost management and budget tracking, including cost estimate maintenance, change order management, contractor invoice review, and cost-to-complete forecasting
  • Serve as the primary owner's representative in weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings at each site, coordinating between Blue Origin internal teams, general contractors, architects, and specialty subcontractors
  • Coordinate the government accreditation process in close partnership with Security and IT teams, including Construction Security Plan submittals and sponsoring agency coordination
  • Identify, track, and resolve program risks, issues, and dependencies across all sites; escalate appropriately to executive stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain program status reports and executive briefings for senior leadership
