About The Position

This role is for a Sr. Project Manager, Regional Deposit Pricing in Tukwila, WA. The position is hourly W2 and remote, with the requirement that applicants live in either Texas or Washington state. The employer is a technology management consulting firm that helps Fortune 500 companies improve their performance by specializing in making People, Process, and Technology work together. They are experiencing breakthrough growth and are seeking a senior-level Project Manager with deep banking/financial services experience for a strategic initiative to enable region- and channel-based deposit pricing across both Consumer and Business lines for their banking client. This capability is essential for competing for deposits at a marginal cost of funds and preparing for a future national pricing strategy. The successful candidate will own this project end to end, from discovery and design through execution, and will be accountable for aligning a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders around a shared plan, timeline, and set of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Must live in either Texas or Washington state.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Financial services industry background.
  • Excellent core project management skills, including budget, schedule, scope, and people management.
  • Deposit product experience, or experience in a closely related banking/credit union product area.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects through the full lifecycle—discovery, design, and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and executive presence.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment and team collaboration.
  • Awareness of systems dependencies and how technology constraints affect project delivery.
  • Strong focus on risk, compliance, and governance considerations.
  • Excellent, executive-ready written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business discovery and requirements-gathering activities with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define, prioritize, maintain, and govern the project backlog throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, stakeholder reviews, and requirement-validation discussions.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to manage scope, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and delivery milestones.
  • Serve as the primary business liaison between internal stakeholders, technology delivery teams, and vendor partners.
  • Ensure requirements and delivered solutions align with business objectives, operational needs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing, including test-scenario development, defect triage, stakeholder coordination, and validation of completed functionality.
  • Support implementation planning, readiness activities, and post-implementation stabilization as needed.
  • Maintain clear documentation of decisions, requirements, priorities, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead the project through discovery, design, and execution, developing and managing an integrated project plan, budget, schedule, and scope across all workstreams.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders and teams—including Finance/Treasury, Deposit Products, Marketing, Digital/Web, Core/Origination Systems, Risk, Compliance, and Frontline training—to a shared timeline and set of deliverables.
  • Maintain systems dependency awareness across origination and core platforms, ensuring the technical roadmap can support regional and channel-based pricing, dynamic rate sheets, and disclosures.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk to secure governance and regulatory approvals required for new deposit products and region-specific pricing and disclosures.
  • Oversee the segmentation strategy and coordinate the creation of new deposit products and dynamic rate sheets needed to support regional and channel pricing.
  • Coordinate with Digital/Web teams to ensure the website and digital channels can display and support region-specific pricing.
  • Plan and oversee frontline training and change management so branch and service teams can execute the new pricing model accurately and confidently.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating proactively with clear options and recommendations.
  • Deliver executive-ready status reporting, including progress against success measures (deposit growth, retention, member acquisition, net interest margin, rate competitiveness, and market share), to project sponsors and steering committee.
