Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 12 years of experience in project management, with a focus on government contracts (DOE, DoD) or commercial projects (required).
6+ years experience as a Project Manager.
Experience managing projects in regulated environments, with a focus on cost management, risk mitigation, and schedule adherence (required).
Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

Project Management certification or advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

Independently manages very large or group of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and contractual obligations, specifically in DOE, DoD, or commercial environments.
Team leader of individuals in Hydrogeology and Geology.
Maintain knowledge of team workload, backlog, schedule and identify personnel needs.
Oversee the project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases, delivering projects on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring all project tasks are properly delegated and executed.
Provide technical work direction and/pr review of project decisions and deliverables of junior Project Managers.
Authority to make final decisions for most project decisions.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Prepare project status reports and communicate updates to clients, executive management, and other stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards regarding safety, environmental, and quality control.
Provide mentorship and training to junior project managers and support staff, ensuring team adherence to best practices.
Ensure effective documentation and record-keeping for all aspects of the project, in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project expenses, ensuring alignment with project budgets and company financial objectives.
