About The Position

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a motivated Sr. Project Control Specialist to contribute to their mission supporting work at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC. Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and five years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; OR Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and seven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; OR An Associate's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and eleven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; OR A high school diploma and fifteen years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
  • Proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, spend out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, and funding.
  • Strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle's OBIEE.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of cost processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams.
  • Execute process responsibilities for organization, development, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and trend engineering established objectives.
  • Prepare schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports that identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback, and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule, or estimating issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide Project Controls services using SRNS processes and procedures.
  • Interface with personnel and systems in the field when required.
