About The Position

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC has multiple openings for Sr. Programmer Analysts (formerly Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst) in Advance, NC. This role involves collaborating with business units to plan and scope initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The analyst will conduct thorough requirements elicitation, analyze data from multiple sources, and engage with customers to clarify functional requirements. They will work with developers and subject matter experts to define technical solutions, perform system setup, configuration, and testing, and recommend best practices for process optimization. The role acts as a key link between business units, technology teams, and support teams, and involves developing user manuals and conducting training. Additionally, the Sr. Programmer Analyst will guide junior and mid-level analysts and uphold the company’s core values. 5% Domestic travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and ERP System.
  • Experience with Manufacturing ERP systems - Infor XA/Mapics on IBM i (AS/400) environments.
  • Experience with programming languages: RPG IV and ILE RPG, Control Language (CL), JavaScript, and Python.
  • Experience in System Analysis: Performing root cause analysis using structured methodologies, writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting, and working with system logs, debugging tools, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience creating Business Process Model and Notation diagrams using at least one of the following process mapping tools: Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart.
  • Experience working in hybrid onPrem and Cloud environments.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies of project execution: participating in Scrum or Kanban frameworks, sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative development cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal and external customers to clarify functional requirements, delivering precise documentation such as BRDs, use cases, and interface designs.
  • Work with developers and subject matter experts to define technical solutions, balancing usability and performance needs.
  • Perform system setup, configuration, and testing to ensure successful implementation.
  • Recommend best practices and automation opportunities to optimize business processes.
  • Act as the key link between business units, technology teams, and support teams, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive user manuals and conduct training sessions to support application adoption.
  • Guide junior and mid-level analysts, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Uphold the company’s core values in all professional functions.
