About The Position

Western Union is seeking a Senior Program & Portfolio Analyst to support and drive execution across the Funds-In portfolio, a critical component of our global payments ecosystem. This role will own and manage cross-functional programs that enable customers to seamlessly fund transactions across channels, while also supporting initiatives across risk and compliance-related portfolios. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Western Union will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in program management, product operations, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience working in fintech, payments, financial services, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with payments ecosystems, including card networks, ACH/bank transfers, digital wallets, and alternative payment methods.
  • Experience supporting portfolio management or product strategy functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile or program management certifications (e.g., Scrum, PMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive execution of key cross-functional programs within the Funds-In portfolio (e.g., card funding, bank transfers, digital wallet integrations, alternative payment methods).
  • Support portfolio governance, including roadmap tracking, prioritization, and execution oversight.
  • Coordinate across product, engineering, compliance, risk, operations, and regional teams to ensure on-time delivery of initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, milestones, KPIs, and status reporting.
  • Partner with Product, Digital, Engineering and other cross-functional teams to support initiatives across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with regional and global strategy.
  • Analyze portfolio metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimization across the product and program orgs.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and prioritization.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to improve portfolio management and product delivery.
  • Serve as a key liaison between product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across global teams and communicate program status, risks, and dependencies effectively.
  • Prepare and present updates to leadership, including program reviews and portfolio health metrics.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve program execution and efficiency.
  • Establish best practices for program management, reporting, and governance within the portfolio.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across Funds-In and adjacent portfolios.
