The Job A Sr. Program Manager, Strategic Operations in Health Care Services is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects within the clinical operations team that will improve clinical outcomes, member experience. They lead cross-functional projects, develop project plans, monitor progress, allocate resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Senior Program Managers also communicate with stakeholders, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate challenges. They play a key role in driving organizational success and achieving strategic objectives. You Will Executes programs and manage portfolios of programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers. Develops, oversees & implements strategic complex clinical programs & initiatives. Create & foster collaborative partnerships with internal & external stakeholders. Build & manage project status reports for key accomplishments, risks, issues, action items, upcoming activities, deliverable examples, etc. Lead project status update meetings with strategic operating committees. Executes the projects within the portfolio by leading the work of the project resources (internal and/or external) in a matrixed environment. Ensures project team is actively participating, collaborating and coordinating amongst team members as well as with other projects and/or business operations. Monitors and controls all aspects of the projects by measuring progress and correcting course when project goes beyond scope or is not meeting goals and objectives. Ensures projects remain on timeline by managing schedules and resources and removing barriers. Works with project team, sponsors and/or Directors, VPs, and other executive leaders to negotiate changes such as scope, timeline, deliverables and integration points. Provides recommendations to leadership, organizational and/or cross-functional discussions. Ensures project is identifying and considering all potential risks and associated impacts throughout the company and raises these considerations if project team has not identified them. Provides consultative services to other projects that have integration points and/or impact to project to ensure collaboration and efficiency between projects. Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics. Creates executive level dashboards, reports, presentations, and can communicate effectively across the organization. Works closely with the Data & Analytics team to develop reporting for KPIs and other performance measurements. Lead activities such as sprint planning alongside business stakeholders. Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations. Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders. Serves as leader of authority with expert-level knowledge in one or more areas. As needed conducts in-depth strategic research, identifies new solutions and provides advisory and analytical support to enable to the broader SCAN strategy as well as strategic initiatives. Plans, organizes, and guides projects and subordinate employees. May be called on to consult in other areas.
