About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Senior Program Compliance Officer. This important role will be responsible for managing and monitoring a complex property portfolio and ensuring mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan, and regulatory requirements imposed by Virginia Housing, HUD, IRS (including Section 42), and Exchange. This role will serve as a leader and technical expert within the regional team and to our external partners on all matters related to, Virginia Housing Rental- Loan and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Housing programs. This role will also perform comprehensive compliance audits, including physical inspections, and assist in the development of guidelines and process improvements for internal efficiency. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Several years of advanced level experience in the Property Management Industry and affordable housing properties or subsidy programs including IRS, LIHTC Program, and HUD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of Outlook
Must be able inspect the properties by navigating the buildings, stairways, and grounds
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills and proven attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
Must live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia
