About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) within our Lakeside Program in Mullica Hill, NJ you’ll empower the people we serve while supporting the Bancroft mission, vision and core values. Bancroft’s Lakeside Campus for people with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities fosters a stable environment where each individual can realize their best life. Direct Support Professionals help those in our care to reach their highest potential, while gaining experience and learning new skills.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of related work experience, or a minimum of 6 months experience as a Program Associate in the Bancroft organization required.
Nice To Haves
- additional education in a related field desirable
- BA in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides supervision, guidance, instruction, and/or skill building to assigned persons served within a specific Program site regarding daily living activities, safety, vocational activities, and interaction with others.
- Provides supervision to direct care staff and is in charge of Program site activities in absence of Program Manager.
