This position is responsible for assisting in controlling expenses; ensuring compliance and coordination with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpreting and enforcing company policies; maintaining non-union programs; assisting in determining manpower needs and making staffing recommendations; preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports; solving problems effectively with appropriate follow-up; and working with department heads to achieve production, quality, yield, labor, and performance goals. The role also oversees housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety standards throughout the facility. Additional responsibilities include managing, evaluating, and training production supervisors, overseeing designated shift operations, and performing other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
