About The Position

This role involves supporting new product development projects and novel commercial strategies for core technology within the medical device environment. The Sr Product Manager will work with the Upstream Marketing Director to guide program direction by engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), exploring unmet needs and market opportunities, and collaborating with various internal teams including R&D, quality, regulatory, marketing, sales training, clinical, operations, manufacturing, and sales. The position also requires partnering with the commercial organization to roll out strategic programs and guiding the portfolio strategy for core technology new product development programs. Understanding potential applications for core technology through collaboration with R&D, clinical, and commercial teams is key. The role includes leading market research to understand behaviors, identify opportunities and unmet needs, and assess the competitive and clinical environment to determine development priorities. Planning Advisory Boards for customer focus groups and gathering physician feedback are also responsibilities. The Sr Product Manager will acquire and analyze feedback from KOLs, customers, market research, and internal stakeholders to inform product development and develop investment theses, communicating customer input to the technical development team. This role will champion product development activities across multiple groups and perform financial modeling/forecasting for new product opportunities. Up to 40% domestic and international travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Product Management, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr Product Manager, Upstream Marketing-related occupation.
  • Professional marketing/product management in a medical device environment.
  • Understanding of clinical applications, community trends, and the segments targeted by assigned products.
  • Experience modifying strategies and tactics based on voice of customer and emerging trends.
  • Experience developing sales strategy for cardiovascular medical devices including new product launches.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including R&D, clinical, operations and commercial to develop potential application of products.
  • Experience in marketing management, interacting with, selling to, and gaining input from global customers and partners.

Responsibilities
