About The Position

What happens when you hand a product manager the keys to an AI-first team that opperates like a start up at Amazon scale? They build the future of security. Want in? Amazon Enterprise Security Products is a newly launched group building intelligent, cloud-agnostic security tools where AI isn't a buzzword on a roadmap slide — it's how we think, build, and ship. We need a Product Manager - Tech who can move at startup speed, obsess over customers, and shape products that don't exist yet, all at a scale most startups only dream about. This is not a "write requirements and wait" PM role. You'll be in the room (and in the code reviews) with engineers, security researchers, and applied scientists, turning ambiguous customer problems into shipped products. You'll define what we build, why we build it, and how fast it gets to customers. Short feedback loops. Real ownership. No layers between you and the impact. Amazon Enterprise Security Products is built by builders who tackle challenges others might consider too ambitious. We're a small team where there are no layers between you and the decision, no waiting quarters to see your work reach customers. Every team member brings an owner's mentality. If there's a problem worth solving, we solve it. No mission is beyond reach, no detail beneath our attention. We move fast, we ship fast, and we learn from what we ship. This is where builders, who want to make the impossible routine, come to do their best work. At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering delightful customer experiences. Our organization is responsible for creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon’s products and services. We offer talented security professionals the chance to accelerate their careers with opportunities to build experience in a wide variety of areas including cloud, devices, retail, entertainment, healthcare, operations, and physical stores. In Amazon Security, it’s in our nature to learn and be curious. Ongoing DEI events and learning experiences inspire us to continue learning and to embrace our uniqueness. Addressing the toughest security challenges requires that we seek out and celebrate a diversity of ideas, perspectives, and voices. We’re continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth’s Best Employer. That’s why you’ll find endless knowledge-sharing, training, and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional. We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why flexible work hours and arrangements are part of our culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.

Requirements

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • 5+ years of non-internship product management experience in commercial B2B technical products or online services
  • Experience managing feature delivery, tradeoffs, and prioritization across cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing customers in early beta
  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise security products
  • Familiarity with AI-first development practices, agentic architectures, or conversational AI product experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies
  • Experience launching 0-to-1 products in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate product management workflows (research synthesis, spec generation, competitive analysis, etc.)
  • Experience making architectural tradeoff decisions alongside engineering teams
  • Experience with analytical tools

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and vision end-to-end: Define and drive the roadmap for AI-powered security products from zero-to-one and beyond. You're not inheriting a backlog; you're creating the product direction for a team that's building the future of enterprise security tooling.
  • Be the customer obsession engine: Deeply understand the security practitioners, CISOs, and enterprise teams we serve. Conduct ongoing customer research, validate hypotheses fast, and translate pain points into products people actually want to use not just products they're told to use.
  • Drive AI-first product thinking: You don't need to write the model, but you need to understand what agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration make possible; and translate that into product experiences that feel like magic to customers. Stay ahead of what's emerging and experimental; bring the "what if we could…" energy every day.
  • Ship like a startup, plan like a strategist: Lead implementation planning, prioritization, and phased rollouts alongside engineering. Write crisp product requirements that drive agentic development processes, define use cases and KPIs, and drive the hard tradeoff conversations. You own outcomes with the autonomy and accountability that comes with a high-trust, small team.
  • Partner across disciplines with zero friction: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, applied scientists, UX designers, security researchers, and leadership. Small team means your voice shapes direction immediately. The best idea wins here, regardless of title or tenure.
  • Prototype, validate, iterate — relentlessly: Bring a builder's mindset to product management. Leverage AI tools and techniques (yes, even the experimental ones) to accelerate research, synthesize insights, generate artifacts, and move faster than any PM org you've been part of before.
  • Define the multi-cloud, cloud-agnostic story: Understand and synthesize security technologies across AWS and competing cloud environments. Our customers operate everywhere, your product strategy needs to protect them wherever they are.
  • Build the product culture from the ground floor: You're not joining a mature PM org, you're helping define what product management looks like on a fast-growing, AI-first team. Establish the rituals, the frameworks, and the bar. In the process, you become the kind of PM who has shaped a product category, scaled a team, and defined how modern security software gets built.
