About The Position

Flexcon Company, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill a Sr. Product Manager role for their Packaging market. This is a high impact role that will drive the growth of assigned product lines. As a member of the Product Management team, the incumbent will collaborate on innovation pipeline growth, product line plans, and manage the business performance of their product lines. This is a critical role in the organization as Product Management owns and drives the strategy and performance of their product lines (‘book of business’) across the functions, customers, regions, technologies, and products of the entire organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or another related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Consistent track record of developing new products from concept through commercialization.
  • High performance, innovation driven, customer and sustainability-centric mindset.
  • Experience in adhesives, films, packaging labels, and/or functional packaging or PSA-based material science technology platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • MS, MBA degree or an advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting global product line strategy to increase revenue, including ownership of Pricing with commercial teams.
  • Developing and completing long-range technology platform plans and NPD roadmap, driving evolution of the product lines.
  • Managing the positioning plans and tactics of all products and services considering price, performance, competitive position, and profitability.
  • Continuously pursuing and investing in the development of their leadership, strategy, product management, influence, and all supporting skills as they grow and expand their careers.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through development and transformation programs and driving problem resolution including all aspects of NPD, PLCM and product line optimization, S&OP and forecasting, product marketing / NPI, business growth and recovery, and improvement of profitability, OTD/P, Quality, NPD, and Inventory and related contract management.
  • Driving and supporting developmental relationships with suppliers and strategic alliances, partnering with R&D and Procurement in technology platform development to support NPD roadmap.
  • Leading and/or supporting development of new markets, business models, and supporting M&A, strategic partnerships, and private branding agreements.
  • Monitoring and assessing competitive intelligence and as a result developing and implementing proactive strategies to strengthen the product line’s competitive edge.
  • Leading and conducting market and voice of customer (VOC) research including OEMs, customers, and industry alliances, and validating internal BI and external data to drive decisions on development of product strategies, plans, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Gathering and synthesizing data to drive conclusions from key findings and proactively leading change company-wide to drive growth.
