Sr. Product Manager, NVC Buy

Ford,
$132,800 - $250,800Remote

About The Position

Ford Motor Company is looking for a Senior Product Manager, for Non-Vehicle Commerce, to own and evolve the end-to-end cart, checkout, and confirmation experiences on Ford.com and Lincoln.com. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of Ford's digital commerce strategy — you will be accountable for turning intent into completed transactions, ensuring every customer can move seamlessly from "add to cart" to "order confirmed," whether they choose to buy fully online or reserve online and pick up at the dealer. You will lead a small but critical team (including a direct-report Product Manager focused on Pricing & Promotions), partner closely with the mobile app team to build a truly omnichannel commerce experience and serve as a hands-on mentor and thought leader who raises the bar for Product Management across the broader Product organization. Although this is classified as a remote position, candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning commerce, checkout, or transactional experiences at scale.
  • 3+ years of experience managing or mentoring other product managers, or clear readiness to take on people leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience and understanding of e-commerce funnels — cart, checkout, payments, pricing/promotions, and order confirmation flows.
  • 3+ years of experience building or supporting omnichannel experiences that bridge web, mobile app, and physical/in-person (retail or dealership) touchpoints.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Design or related field
  • Experience with pricing and promotions engines or systems.
  • Familiarity with dealer/retail network operations, particularly "buy online, pick up in store/dealer" models.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable using data, A/B testing, and customer research to make and defend product decisions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Passion for customer experience and a demonstrated ability to simplify complex transactional journeys
  • Retail or automotive retail experience
  • Experience working in agile/scaled agile product organizations.
  • Background in automotive, big-ticket retail, or other considered-purchase e-commerce categories.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for cart, checkout, and order confirmation across Ford.com and Lincoln.com for non-vehicle products.
  • Design seamless, low-friction purchase paths that support multiple customer journeys — fully online purchase, online-to-dealer pickup, and hybrid transactions.
  • Continuously identify and eliminate friction points in the funnel, using data, customer research, and testing to improve conversion, completion rates, and overall satisfaction.
  • Directly manage and mentor the Product Manager responsible for Pricing & Promotions, ensuring pricing display, discounts, incentives, and promotional logic are seamlessly integrated into the checkout experience.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular coaching and feedback, and support the career growth of your direct report.
  • Act as a role model and informal mentor to other Product Managers across the organization, sharing product best practices, frameworks, and lessons learned.
  • Partner closely with the mobile app product team to ensure a consistent, connected buying experience across web and app.
  • Champion an omnichannel mindset — ensuring cart state, pricing, promotions, and order status persist seamlessly as customers move between devices, channels, and touchpoints (online, app, and dealer).
  • Bring an external, customer-first point of view to the team, identifying opportunities to bring best-in-class retail commerce patterns into the automotive buying journey.
  • Bring deep product management expertise — strong discovery habits, rigorous prioritization, and a bias for iterative, data-informed delivery — and use it to inspire and elevate other Product Managers.
  • Set the standard for how to leverage AI to assist with product requirements, experiments, and success metrics that are defined and communicated within the Non-Vehicle Commerce team.
  • Actively contribute to shaping product processes, rituals, and culture that drive innovation across the broader digital product team.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/design, analytics, dealer operations, legal/compliance, and marketing to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Work with dealer-facing and operations teams to ensure the "buy online, pick up at dealer" experience is smooth and consistent for both customers and dealers.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and report progress to stakeholders and leadership.

Benefits

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up childcare and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
