Sr. Product Manager, Enterprise and Hardware

SennosDurham, NC
Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Product Manager, Enterprise & Hardware owns the enterprise readiness roadmap and partner integration strategy while providing hands-on product leadership for the hardware sensor roadmap during a critical growth phase. This is a dual-scope role — approximately 60% enterprise and integrations, 40% hardware — designed to consolidate product coverage while Sennos scales its product organization. On the enterprise side, this role ensures Sennos can meet the security, compliance, deployment, and integration requirements that global enterprise customers expect — translating pilot feedback and deal-stage objections into shipped capabilities before they become deal-killers. On the hardware side, this role provides strategic direction and cross-functional coordination for a growing portfolio of intelligent sensor modules, accessories, and connectivity solutions, partnering closely with the VP of Product, the CTO, and the Durham, NC engineering and manufacturing teams. This is a senior, externally-facing role for someone who can operate at the intersection of Product, Business Development (BD), and Engineering — comfortable in enterprise pilot reviews one day and hardware design reviews the next. Travel with BD to support enterprise pilots and negotiations is expected (~15–20% travel). You will own your workstreams end-to-end — writing your own user stories, driving features through development, and leveraging AI tools to move fast — supported by the VP of Product, the CTO, and a product team that includes dedicated product owners and design staff across other areas of the platform. This role begins as a dual-scope position and will refocus on enterprise and integrations full-time as additional product resources join the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Senior-level experience in product management with direct ownership of enterprise readiness, integrations, or platform partnership strategy
  • Track record of shipping integrations, APIs, or platform capabilities that directly enabled enterprise or partner deals
  • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams simultaneously — comfort with dual-scope ownership across enterprise and hardware product lines
  • Working knowledge of enterprise security and compliance frameworks including SOC2, SSO/SAML, OAuth 2.0, and data residency concepts
  • Ability to operate at the boundary between Product and Business Development, translating commercial pressure into clear product requirements without over-committing the roadmap
  • Strong product writing skills — able to independently author user stories, requirements documents, and vision artifacts that engineering can build from without extensive back-and-forth
  • Strong verbal communication, particularly in translating technical capabilities for non-technical enterprise buyers and supporting pilot and security review processes
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and roadmap tracking
  • Fluency with AI-assisted tools for generating user stories, requirements, and product documentation at speed

Nice To Haves

  • Background in hardware product management, including familiarity with NPI processes, BOM tradeoffs, packaging design, or manufacturing coordination
  • Experience in food & beverage, brewing, fermentation, or adjacent process industries
  • Background working with ERP, inventory, or brewery/beverage management platforms in an integration or partnership capacity
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and integration patterns including OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT, HART, or EtherNet/IP in PLC/SCADA environments
  • Experience with sensors, instrumentation, or embedded systems products including awareness of IP/NEMA ratings, washdown environment requirements, or environmental design standards
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety certifications (NSF, FDA, CE, UL) and food safety frameworks (FSMA, HACCP) that influence hardware design and enterprise compliance
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, including end-of-life planning, component change control, and supply chain considerations
  • Experience with private cloud, hybrid deployment, or multi-tenant architecture concepts for enterprise customers
  • Exposure to IIoT concepts, edge computing, or Industry 4.0 approaches in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Experience with Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps) and Jira Product Discovery
  • Comfort operating in a growth-stage company where enterprise playbooks and hardware roadmaps are being built, not inherited

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise readiness roadmap, including SSO/SAML, private cloud deployment options, data residency controls, and enterprise security and compliance documentation
  • Manage technical requirements and delivery for partner integrations across ERP, inventory tracking, automation, and industrial-level systems on the beverage enterprise and equipment side — defining API contracts, data exchange patterns, and integration testing criteria
  • Support enterprise security and compliance readiness including SOC2 preparation, ensuring security controls, compliance documentation, and audit artifacts meet enterprise buyer expectations
  • Define PLC integration requirements for industrial automation and process control platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Mettler Toledo, Honeywell), scoping data exchange, alerts, and actions between the Sennosystem and plant control operations
  • Travel with Business Development to support enterprise pilots and negotiations, contributing to technical architecture discussions, security questionnaires, and pilot success criteria
  • Translate pilot feedback, customer objections, and deal-stage requirements into prioritized roadmap items with clear acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate with engineering on integration architecture, REST API strategy, webhook design, and deployment models
  • Provide product leadership for the hardware sensor roadmap, defining the sequence and rationale for new intelligent sensor modules, accessories, and connectivity solutions
  • Coordinate hardware priorities with the VP of Product and CTO, as well as the Durham, NC plant team, participating in design reviews and production readiness assessments
  • Write user stories, vision documents, and product requirements end-to-end — leveraging AI tools to generate and refine artifacts, and driving features through the development team from definition to delivery
  • Maintain enterprise readiness tracking and hardware roadmap visibility so the organization has clear line of sight into both workstreams

Benefits

  • remote/hybrid flexibility
