Sr. Product Manager - Autonomous Identity
About The Position
As the Senior Product Manager for Autonomous Identity, you will be pivotal in shaping a core component of our identity security platform. Autonomous Identity moves beyond mere recommendations and into the realm of creating a self-directed identity governance and security application that improves itself. You’ll be using AI to identify patterns and to make improvements to customers’ identity programs. Your days will be dynamic, ranging from strategic planning and market analysis to collaborating with engineering on the technical details of a new feature. You will be the voice of the customer, translating their needs into actionable product requirements, and working to define and execute a product vision that leverages AI to enhance the user experience. You will be the expert on your product, comfortable communicating its value to both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will join a highly collaborative and innovative Product team. We are a group of passionate individuals focused on developing, launching, and continuously improving SailPoint's suite of products. Our team is dedicated to a culture of open communication and teamwork, where you will work closely with other product managers, engineers, architects, and marketing to bring your vision to life.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management role.
- Demonstrated success in working with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful enterprise software products.
- Experience managing SaaS and/or cloud infrastructure products.
- Experience in the Identity security field is highly desirable.
- Experience using AI tooling to accelerate personal and team productivity.
- Experience shipping products with AI-powered features that enhance customer experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- BA/BS in business or technical field required.
Nice To Haves
- Work with any open platform connectivity technologies such as web and micro-services is a plus
- MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Shape a core component of our identity security platform.
- Use AI to identify patterns and make improvements to customers’ identity programs.
- Engage in strategic planning and market analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering on the technical details of new features.
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating their needs into actionable product requirements.
- Define and execute a product vision that leverages AI to enhance the user experience.
- Communicate product value to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Take ownership of the product backlog, prioritizing features based on customer feedback and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to refine requirements for the next product release and finalize the sprint plan.
- Develop and present a set of success metrics for an upcoming feature launch.
- Independently lead a feature from conception to launch, managing the entire development lifecycle.
- Conduct customer feedback sessions to gather insights for future product iterations.
- Deliver a product roadmap for the next 12 months, outlining key initiatives and their expected impact.
- Propose and lead a strategic initiative to improve the product, such as a new integration or a significant user experience overhaul.
- Act as a mentor to a junior member of the product team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
