About The Position

The AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) Sales Planning Tools team is seeking an innovative Sr. Product Manager to join their rapidly growing business. This role offers ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to lead global teams in launching AI/ML enterprise applications. The team provides services, technology, and data to support the worldwide AWS Sales organization, focusing on scaling the business through inventive methods. They manage a portfolio of complex, high-impact, and intelligent planning tools with a multi-year product roadmap aimed at achieving an Autonomous Sales Planning vision. These are global, enterprise-grade web applications in early to mid-stage lifecycles, including both 1P and 3P products. The successful candidate will possess exceptional invent and simplify skills, problem-solving abilities, clear communication, a 'think big' mindset, and the capacity to translate customer and business needs into inventive software solutions. This individual will own the end-to-end development of a global, enterprise-grade web-based sales planning product designed to deliver transformational value across the worldwide AWS Sales organization. They will work with a dedicated engineering pod, part of a larger ~70-person engineering team, to define the product's 2-3 year vision and strategy for Intelligent, AI-assisted Sales Planning to drive a more efficient and effective Go-to-market sales plan for AWS. Responsibilities include roadmap development, product requirements management, stakeholder and customer engagement, leadership reviews, user testing, and launch strategy and execution. The role involves partnering with engineering, global sales customers, a data science team, and other application owners across the SMGS organization. The team culture encourages innovation and expects a high degree of ownership for program vision and execution. A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record in product management, experience driving strategy, and influencing executive leadership. They should be a self-starter who approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and can identify root causes rather than just superficial trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Master's degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy and product definition.
  • Define and manage multi-year product roadmap, including introduction of agentic transformation
  • Capture, document, and communicate business product requirements.
  • Translate requirements into features and user stories. Drive technical team understanding of requirements.
  • Manage technical build against business requirements. Provide thought leadership with engineering on implementation.
  • Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders from Global AWS Sales and Sales Operations teams and other System and Application teams across SMGS.
  • Lead document development for leadership reviews.
  • Own project status updates to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Plan and conduct user testing.
  • Drive change management and adoption of solution across AWS Sales and Sales Operations
  • Manage post-launch activities (user support, new feature development, etc.)
  • Establish KPIs, identify gaps, and improve performance and adoption of the platform.
  • Deep dive problems or opportunity areas and propose solutions to address.
  • Generate new ideas to drive improvement, efficiency and automation across AWS Sales that will enable AWS to scale and grow.
