About The Position

The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and managing complex engineering assignments that involve product design, process development, material testing, material changes, continuous improvement, and product/process validation to support Cytiva’s quality, supply, and growth business objectives. This position reports to the Sr. Product Engineering Manager and is part of the Product Engineering Team located in Pensacola and will be an on-site role. Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes as typical acquired by completion of a Bachelor of Science (BS). A higher degree may be considered in lieu of part of the experience requirements.
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in product engineering, process engineering, quality engineering and/or research and development (R&D).
  • Hands on experience in manufacturing web based polymeric materials (such as membranes, polymer films, polymeric and/or non-woven synthetic fabrics).
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record demonstrating strong troubleshooting and process improvement skills; a track record demonstrating strong project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and ability to apply standards and codes published by such authorities as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to resolve critical customer and manufacturing problems utilizing proven, data driven, structured problem-solving tools (DBS).
  • Work with the internal/external customers and product development to understand the critical to quality characteristics and relate these to critical process parameters to ensure the process is specified in a robust manner.
  • Partner with Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing in new products qualification.
  • Provide coaching and training to engage, encourage, and guide others through the improvement and change control process.
