Sr. Procurement Program Manager
About The Position
Rivian’s Procurement Program Management team is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support Charging and Battery programs. The role coordinates end-to-end Procurement program execution, including program scoping, part sourcing, part tooling, part ordering, and change management. The position identifies and communicates program risks, resolves cross-functional bottlenecks at the working level, and develops AI-ready data and process improvements to help programs scale. It is based onsite in Irvine, California, and reports to the Sr. Manager of Procurement Program Management for MSP programs. Travel is required as needed, averaging 5–8%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical ability to break down complex problems and data sets and derive actionable results for cross-functional teams.
- Ability to resolve complex, multi-variable problems by leveraging newly developed relationships and proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed based on business needs, averaging 5–8%.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Procurement program execution across multiple Charging and Battery products.
- Engage daily with cross-functional teams and build relationships that support challenging conversations and business progress.
- Communicate across diverse groups, gain buy-in on a clear vision, and resolve conflict with minimal escalation.
- Build and maintain robust, AI-ready Procurement data and program reporting that drive progress.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in ambiguous situations and independently resolve complex, multi-stakeholder problems.
- Optimize recurring processes and lead special Procurement initiatives, such as cost reduction programs, supplier localization efforts, and program content change requests, using a systems-thinking approach.
