The Sr. Procurement Manager role is responsible for managing the overall Procurement Operations for the organization. This role oversees the procurement of raw materials and services, covering both direct and indirect spend categories to support manufacturing operations and overall business needs. It includes strategic and operational oversight of the procurement function supporting all current and future business units within the North America region. The position develops and implements procurement strategy that supports the company's distribution and manufacturing supply chain, provides input to strategic decisions, and develops the budget. The role manages policies and processes to purchase all materials and services required for processing and manufacturing products, supporting business requirements, conducting research, or enabling other business activities. It also involves monitoring and analyzing the market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchase decisions, identifying, evaluating, and monitoring suppliers, and developing relationships to ensure reliable sourcing and the quality and availability of required commodities and services. The Sr. Procurement Manager oversees bidding and contract negotiations, collaborates with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing schedules and long-term business objectives, and may develop and/or implement new policies and ensure compliance. The role is also responsible for resolving escalated issues and leading other leadership activities or initiatives related to the Procurement function.
