About The Position

The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the company's procurement function by developing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO), and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services. This role provides leadership for procurement operations, inventory governance, sourcing activities, contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting organizational growth and operational excellence. The Senior Procurement Manager serves as a key business partner to Operations, Finance, Accounting, Commercial, IT, Legal, and executive leadership to drive value, reduce risk, and improve supply chain performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams.
  • Strong experience with supplier negotiations, RFQs, RFPs, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and procurement controls.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, scenario modeling, and dashboards.
  • Experience leveraging AI‑supported analytics within Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to accelerate analysis, identify trends, and support decision‑making.
  • Experience building and maintaining analytical models to support sourcing strategies, cost‑reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and demand planning.
  • Ability to translate large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and executive‑ready summaries.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within transportation, manufacturing, equipment, fleet, or industrial operations.
  • ERP experience (Oracle preferred).
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or CPM.
  • Experience leading inventory management and demand planning initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all procurement activities, providing strategic direction and daily operational oversight.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve quality, service levels, supplier performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce expenses, streamline processes, and increase operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for procurement and supply chain management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls.
  • Lead RFQ, RFP, and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, warranties, and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships with both domestic and international vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, invoicing, shortages, and claims.
  • Oversee purchase order governance, procurement workflows, and post-order supply chain tracking.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Manage inventory-related procurement processes and support quarterly inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Monitor demand forecasts and develop purchasing plans to support operational requirements.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements and contract modifications.
  • Ensure supplier contracts adequately protect company interests through pricing, service level agreements, indemnification provisions, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and Legal teams to strengthen procurement governance and compliance controls.
  • Track, analyze, and report procurement performance metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, inventory health, and spending trends.
  • Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and supplier cost evaluations.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and executive-level reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize ERP systems and business intelligence tools to improve procurement visibility and effectiveness.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop procurement team members.
  • Establish performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional business reviews with Operations, Finance, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive organizational alignment on procurement objectives and strategic initiatives.
