About The Position

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Sr Procurement Buyer to execute category strategies aligned with the company's business plan. This role involves partnering with various site departments to translate requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans. The buyer will also manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the position focuses on improving working capital and supporting operational excellence through digital tools and process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related).
3–5+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing for indirect categories.
Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
Fluent English and strong analytical skills.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Purchasing Modules) and digital sourcing tools (eRFX, eAuctions, AI negotiation platforms).
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including risk and compliance awareness.
Experience with sustainability, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Execute category strategies aligned to Solstice’s business plan, including Site Procurement Plan through spend analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.
Build multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
Partner with site Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to translate requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans.
Support implementation of sourcing projects, supplier transitions, preferred supplier programs, and category governance initiatives.
Establish and manage supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements within delegated authority levels.
Execute contracts/SOWs within threshold, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed.
Ensure 100% adherence to enterprise contracting policies and platforms (e.g., LEAP) and regulatory/commercial requirements.
Mitigate risk through appropriate terms (liability, IP, data protection, export controls), and ensure documentation accuracy.
Improve working capital via payment term optimization, inventory strategies (e.g., VMI/consignment), and lead-time reduction.
Support site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting; drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
