About The Position

Ingredion Inc. seeks a Sr Process Engineer to provide technical support to maintenance and operations groups. This role involves conducting process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and analyzing historical data to identify, monitor, and control key operating parameters. The engineer will be responsible for developing Best Operational Practices (BOPs) for crystallization processes and auditing these processes to ensure consistent delivery and continuous improvement of process outcomes. Additionally, the role includes developing and validating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and completing Management of Change (MOC) to ensure technical proficiency and documentation validity. The Sr. Process Engineer will routinely review SOPs to ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) and FSSC22000 standards. This position also requires leading or serving as a subject-matter expert for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and incidents, and leading/facilitating Continuous Improvement problem-solving projects (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, LSS) to enhance plant performance. The role drives and supports initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, and cost performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any field) or a closely related field
Five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Responsibilities

Providing technical support to maintenance and operations groups including process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and analysis of historical data to identify, monitor and control key operating parameters.
Developing Best Operational Practices (BOPs) related to crystallization processes and audit these processes to standard to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement of process outcomes.
Developing and validating Standard Operating Procedures and completing Management of Change (MOC) to ensure technical proficiency and validity of documentation.
Routinely reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all processes and documentation adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and FSSC22000 standards.
Leading or serving as subject-matter-expert for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and incidents.
Leading and facilitating Continuous Improvement problem solving projects (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, LSS) that support plant performance enhancement at all dimensions.
Driving and supporting initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
