About The Position

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor is the subject matter expert for global HSE programs including HSE management systems and associated processes, emergency response, global metrics, and HSE enterprise IT solutions. Additional responsibilities include project management and implementation of Global HSE initiatives and enterprise-wide processes/systems to enhance compliance, productivity and sustainability. This position provides technical leadership and coordination for implementing emergency management processes, serves as Co-Chief of Staff for the corporate Incident Support Team (IST). The position also serves as the process owner for Global HSE Standards and Metrics, system owner for HSE IT enterprise systems, and administrator for HSE data collection and reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety, Environmental, project management, or a related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science or HSE related degree
  • Experience with HSE Management Systems and digital tools, systems and enterprise software platforms (e.g., Sphera, Intelex, or similar HSE management platforms)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as administrator for Global HSE Management Systems processes, metrics, and standards.
  • Manage the Notification to Management (NTM) process and ensure integration with enterprise HSE systems.
  • Lead the HSE Standards Change Control Board (CCB) and ensure proper governance of Global HSE Standards.
  • Manage all HSE Standard CCB documents and support regular reviews and approvals.
  • Update CCB documents as assigned.
  • Participate on Engineering Standards Board and ensure alignment.
  • Implement, develop, and administer enterprise IT solutions including Sphera (transitioning from Credit 360), Intelex (investigations, compliance calendar, inspections, mapping processes), and other global systems.
  • Administer system access and drive lifecycle capability.
  • Work with goal owners to define HSE metrics and establish business processes to collect data.
  • Maintain access and assignments for data collection across the enterprise.
  • Provide support on IT tool implementations for other global systems (i.e. Veeva, Cority, Sphera, Intelex) representing HSE interests in the development and delivery of the tools.
  • Develop, sustain, and validate BI tools to share HSE information across the enterprise.
  • Support IT BI validation plans.
  • Develop validation documents for identified BIs.
  • Transition BIs from unvalidated to validated sites.
  • Support creation of new BIs as requested and needed within Global HSE.
  • Update and troubleshoot Global HSE BIs.
  • Serve as Co-Chief of Staff for the corporate Incident Support Team.
  • Develop and maintain IST processes and supporting materials.
  • Manage IST in the absence of a Chief Corporate Emergency Officer.
  • Provide overall coordination of IST activities including maintenance of the IST Plan, coordination of IST exercises, establishing review and update schedules, distribution and control of IST documents, and manage and train IST members.
  • Execute periodic review of IST procedures and transition IST support documents into Quality documentation systems.
  • Lead and manage project implementation for global HSE initiatives and enterprise-wide systems.
  • Provide overarching project management for Corporate HSE projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Support governance and implementation of the HSE digital strategy and processes to ensure alignment with functional priorities, enterprise IT standards and compliance requirements.
