About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced, motivated self-starter to support the Linthicum, Maryland AMS site. The position is on-site and involves procuring goods and services from suppliers, managing purchase orders, assessing supplier performance, and coordinating with internal customers and logistics organizations. The role requires U.S. citizenship and includes travel 10% of the time.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of supply chain, finance, and/or business experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 6 years with a master's degree.
• Procurement or supply chain experience.
• U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FAR or DFAR regulations.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience negotiating terms and conditions or other supplier agreements.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from multiple suppliers.
• Initiate requests for quotations and proposals, receive responses, and analyze proposed supplier pricing.
• In conjunction with the quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and ability to meet delivery schedules.
• Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the required products or services.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
• Issue purchase orders.
• Manage purchase order performance and ensure compliance with public law requirements, company and business policies and procedures, and import/export regulations.
• Use sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
• Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to logistics, transportation, and warehouse organizations so that receipt is properly recorded.
• Review and approve supplier payments as needed.
