Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer to join our DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure Team located onsite in Melbourne, FL. Please note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing and Hybrid On-Prem Solutions
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Docker or similar container technologies.
  • Experience setting up or administering a small to medium sized Kubernetes cluster
  • Experience with Gitlab or similar CI/CD orchestration tools
  • Experience and understanding of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar.
  • Experience creating cloud-based images using Packer.
  • Experience in systems administration
  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final U.S. adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Active Directory, ePO Trellix, & ACAS scanning tools
  • Any Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g. AZ-900, AZ-104, AWS Cloud Practitioner, etc)
  • Security+ Certification
  • Terraform Associate Certification
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo etc..)
  • Familiarity with Agile software development process
  • Experience hardening systems to DoD STIG standards
  • Familiarity with HyperV environments

Responsibilities

  • Designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure.
  • Deploying product updates.
  • Setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).
