About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Classified Solutions CIDO team is seeking a senior network professional to support information system lifecycle activities and classified government contracts. The role is based full-time on-site in Azusa, California, and requires a current U.S. Government Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment. Travel is 10% of the time. The position does not offer virtual or telecommute work options. The selected candidate will lead network architecture, design, integration, implementation, and operational support for large-scale, multidomain classified networks. This includes developing long-term architecture roadmaps, maintaining enterprise standards and security frameworks, supporting network migrations and cyber resilience, and providing advanced technical support and monitoring. The role also involves engaging with government customers and internal leadership, mentoring team members, and addressing complex network, hardware, software, and telecommunications issues. The position requires lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work after hours and on weekends may be needed. The salary range is $129,300–$193,900. Requirements

Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant technical experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years; or an associate’s degree and 10 years; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 12 years.
Experience designing and maintaining complex LAN/WAN networks, including analysis and enhancements of routers, switches, and firewalls.
Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements (8570 equivalent) for a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator IAT Level II certification at minimum; examples include Security+ CE, CND, CCNA Security, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, and CCISO.
Hold a current U.S. Government Secret clearance at minimum.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance as a condition of continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering.
Experience supporting video teleconferencing and deploying audio/visual technologies in classified environments.
Active Secret, Top Secret, SCI, SAP/SAR access, or polygraph.
Security+ CE certification.
Experience supporting Cisco Call Managers or similar technologies.
Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, multidomain network architectures, with expertise in advanced routing, security, and mission-critical systems.
Experience configuring TACLANEs and/or encryption solutions.
Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes.
Experience troubleshooting network procedures and best practices, and network challenges associated with systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis, and system architecture design.
Evidence of published technical papers, patents, or internal knowledge-sharing contributions.
Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform senior network communications activities in support of classified government contracts.
Define and execute long-term network architecture roadmaps, including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and cloud-enabled networking, in alignment with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
Lead the design, integration, and implementation of large-scale, multidomain networks supporting classified missions.
Oversee network migrations and cyber resilience initiatives.
Serve as a senior technical liaison to government customers and internal leadership; negotiate requirements, deliver status briefings, and participate in external technical forums, proposals, and procurement discussions.
Author, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide network standards, policies, and security frameworks; audit compliance and champion continuous improvement.
Monitor, analyze, and plan network systems; coordinate third-party maintenance as needed and support environments through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
Provide third-level technical support for complex network, hardware, software, and telecommunications issues.
Develop technical solutions to complex problems, support project designs, clarify requirements, and ensure solutions adhere to established standards.
Raise issues requiring management attention, measure performance against KPIs, and implement corrective actions to exceed operational standards.
Provide senior-level technical expertise and mentor team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work after hours and on weekends as needed.
