Shift: The regular hours for this position are day shift. We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Sr. Principal Integration & Yield Engineer to join our Production Engineering team. This role is critical in driving end-to-end process integration, yield improvement, and defect reduction for a unique semiconductor application. You will act as a technical leader within the fab environment—owning complex yield challenges, leading data-driven problem-solving efforts, and influencing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings deep semiconductor process expertise, strong analytical capability, and a proven track record of solving high-impact manufacturing problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced analytics tools or scripting (e.g., JMP, Python, MATLAB)
  • Familiarity with electrical test systems, including flying probe or wafer sort methodologies
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing ramp.
  • Knowledge of yield modeling, reliability analysis, and failure analysis techniques.
  • Proven experience solving complex yield and defectivity challenges in a high-volume fab environment.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor unit processes (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition, CMP) and their interactions.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, DOE, and SPC methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with defect inspection and metrology tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and influence without authority.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process integration strategy across the full process flow, ensuring seamless interaction of unit processes into robust, high-yielding module flows.
  • Own and drive yield improvement initiatives, identifying key yield limiters and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Use structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis) to resolve yield excursions using inline data, electrical test data, failure analysis, and direct fab observations.
  • Analyze and interpret data from defect inspection and metrology tools to identify, characterize, and eliminate yield-limiting defects.
  • Partner with process engineering teams to optimize process windows, improve uniformity, and enhance overall device performance.
  • Lead design of experiments (DOE) and leverage statistical process control (SPC) and advanced analytics to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as a cross-functional technical leader, collaborating with fab operations, equipment engineering, test, and R&D to implement and validate process changes.
  • Own flying probe electrical test processes, including data analysis, reporting, and automation of test outputs.
  • Monitor rework trends and scrap drivers, implementing process improvements to reduce rework rates and improve cycle time.
  • Support technology transfer and ramp from R&D into high-volume manufacturing, ensuring stable yield and manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain process integration documentation, including flows, specs, and control strategies.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in data-driven problem solving and best practices.
