Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics. This onsite position is in Oklahoma City, OK. The Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics will be responsible for developing and executing the program. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience
  • Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics Radar subsystems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 year of related engineering experience
  • Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Responsible Engineer (RE) for Radar Avionics Subsystem(s)
  • Manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics Weapons subsystems hardware requirements
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
  • Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
  • Work to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
  • Travel up to 25%
