Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead with hardware design and manufacturing experience. This position is located in Linthicum, MD. This IPT Lead will be required to lead an engineering team working to transition designs to production for an important sector priority program with many time-critical elements and high management visibility. They will interface with personnel in the factory test cells, Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance. In addition, they will brief internal and potentially external customer leadership on progress. The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. This role is contingent upon candidates having a current, Active Secret government clearance. This role is contingent upon Program Award.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with 8 years of industry experience, or master’s degree and 6 years of industry experience. An additional 4 years’ experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and obtain an SAP clearance for continued employment
- 6-month minimum experience with hardware design and/or hardware integration & test
- Demonstrated team leadership skills supporting a program, manufacturing or a business function.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with 6-month minimum experience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or other leadership role supporting a program or business function
- 6-month minimum experience in Control Account Manager (CAM) activities and the Earned Value Management system (EVMS)
- Available onsite at the BWI facility during first shift
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated proficiency in Control Account Manager (CAM) activities and the Earned Value Management system (EVMS)
- Experience reporting project status to program, functional management and customers
- Experience working with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Material Processing
- Knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience with the Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) process
- Experience with LRU/LRM Integration and testing for an EMD product transitioning to production
- Fluency with developing and executing project schedules
- Experience managing products in the critical path of a program
- PMP certification a plus
- Active and current Top Secret government clearance a plus
