Sr Prin Systems Engineer – EW Pillar Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer – EW Pillar Lead supporting one of our premier programs in Aurora, CO, where your knowledge of requirements, architecture and design elaboration, systems engineering analyses, interface definition and control, and customer engagement will be put to good use. In this role, you will support capabilities and feature elaboration, system interface definition, integration and test, technical issue resolution, system anomaly investigations, and alignment across program management and engineering teams. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle, roles, and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, capability and feature elaboration and management, Program Increment support, functional analysis, or interface definition and control
- Experience supporting a government contract
- Experience in a technical leadership role
- Active and transferable DoD TS/SCI U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Mission operations strong customer relations skills
- Development experience in the project domain, such as mission management large-scale ground systems or space-based ISR platforms
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler
- Experience with requirements management in DOORS or other requirements databases, along with strong oral and written communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Support capabilities and feature elaboration, system interface definition, and determination of how system functional capability and performance will be validated and verified by the test team
- Support teams that analyze and define how the system works and create system use cases
- Support execution of the integration and test program
- Support identification of technical issues during software and hardware integration and collaborate with engineers to drive solutions to closure
- Support Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation and execution
- Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to ensure alignment of scope, schedule, and budget
- Support investigation of system anomalies to identify root cause
- Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchange meetings in support of the program
