In support of our various efforts, we have developed the Onyx Data Management Toolkit, a combination of Agile Development principles, COTS Integration, and custom software, to deliver flexible, cost-effective solutions to a variety of Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Law Enforcement agencies. This position is contingent upon award. The Sr. PostgreSQL DBA owns the TRDM database estate on AWS GovCloud — primary and alternate sites, plus TEST/DEV. Hands-on responsibility for backup/recovery, replication, performance, security control evidence in eMASS, and the annual scheduled failover exercise.

Requirements

• Active SECRET clearance
• US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree
• PostgreSQL certification
• DoD 8570 IAT-II (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• 8+ years database administration
• 3+ years PostgreSQL at production scale

Nice To Haves

• AWS Certified Data Engineer
• Aurora/RDS experience
• DoD STIG database experience
• Prior Oracle background (legacy familiarity helpful)

Responsibilities

• Administer PostgreSQL / Aurora across primary, alternate, and TEST/DEV environments
• Monitor performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively
• Apply quarterly database patches in accordance with DoD STIGs
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures
• Monitor replication between primary and alternate sites
• Support annual scheduled failover exercise; produce Contingency Exercise Report
• Maintain database security controls and produce eMASS evidence
• Maintain database documentation (TTPs) in configuration management
