About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring customers have continual access to innovation. The team supports all AWS data centers and the associated equipment. The AWS Sustainability team is seeking a Senior Product Manager-Tech to lead the delivery of customer sustainability products. This role involves building solutions to integrate environmental sustainability data across AWS infrastructure and operations, supporting AWS's net zero carbon goal, and delivering decarbonization benefits to customers. The Senior Product Manager-Tech will drive the vision, strategy, and execution for internal and external AWS services, leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud solutions for complex customer problems at scale. The successful candidate will partner with various AWS teams to make strategic trade-offs, manage an external-facing AWS service, and demonstrate passion for the energy and sustainability space. They will be adept at anticipating bottlenecks, managing escalations, and balancing customer needs with technical constraints, breaking down complex projects into manageable parts, developing functional specifications, and delivering them on time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
• 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
• 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
• Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and roadmap for critical AWS services, aligning with overall AWS business objectives and customer needs
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to deliver high-impact features and capabilities
• Develop deep customer empathy through direct engagement with external and internal customers
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product direction
• Define and own key performance indicators (KPIs) for your product area, driving continuous improvement
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape AWS-wide strategies and priorities
• Mentor and develop junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and customer obsession
• Represent AWS at industry events, conferences, and with key customers and partners
