About The Position

The primary function of the Sr. PMC Technician is to provide guidance and leadership to the PMC team supporting all cross-functional teams. The Sr. PMC Technician will troubleshoot and assess failure modes of semi-automated and automated test equipment, complete on-site preventive maintenance of equipment throughout ISI facilities, perform equipment calibration, and coordinate the calibration of equipment utilizing outside services. The Sr PMC Technician works independently to implement Intuitive's PMC program.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in SAP, Agile, MES, and PMC Module (establishment of Work Orders, notification, Activation & Inactivation, and Results recording)
  • Understanding of Quality Control, Inspection, Metrology, PMC, GDP, and GMP
  • Working knowledge of electronics and mechanical concepts
  • Understand wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, and mechanical component drawings
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable troubleshooting and resolving complex assemblies for Equipment, Fixtures, and Tooling
  • Experience with use of hand tools and measurement tools: dial calipers, micrometers, force gauges, Instron and other materials testing equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Words and Excel) for documentation and data presentation
  • Minimum BS degree or equivalent, OR an equivalent of Minimum 5+ years of PMC experience / engineering environment
  • Ability to work varying shifts
  • Must have ability to complete training courses
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to work with other cross-function teams such as manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, equipment engineering and specialized role
  • Overtime will be required as needed per business need or per supervisor/Manager discretion
  • Must be available to travel as needed 5-10%

Nice To Haves

  • Project management skill is a plus
  • Working knowledge of 5S, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma is a plus
  • Knowledge of Solidwork is a plus
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree Preferred
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma concept
  • Maintains an excellent attendance record in compliance with established manufacturing and quality attendance guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve monthly department key metrics
  • Review, create, and document new PMC procedures and work instructions to standardize the process
  • Review and redline new equipment PMC forms and instructions prior to Agile release
  • Collaborate with QE, ME, and NPI Engineering Team on preventive maintenance and calibration related updates
  • Responsible for ECO implementation in regards to fixtures and tooling (i.e taking obsolete fixtures out of service)
  • Identify PMC process gaps and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects that would result in cost reduction, process improvements, increase efficiency, and error proof PMC process
  • Perform assessment and support troubleshooting of ISI equipment not performing per equipment specifications
  • Manage Equipment Events (EEs) in SAP, ensuring satisfactory and immediate response to repair and/or escalate
  • Provide guidance and train PMC Technicians, review work orders, and ensure GDP is followed
  • Support and coordinate manufacturing re-layout and production line expansions
  • Maintain calibration certificates and user manuals
  • Assist and/or perform Initial / Operational qualification and validation activities on Equipment Fixtures and Tooling
  • Participate in all phases of the product development process, including prototype assembly, test, debug, transfer, and sustaining
  • Participate and support internal / external audits as required
