Sr. Platform, AI Solutions Specialist

Ingram MicroBuffalo, NY
$88,700 - $150,800Remote

About The Position

The Sr. Platform, AI Solutions Specialist will drive adoption of intelligent, automated workflows within the Global Platform Group, shifting delivery from manual, effort-driven processes to AI-enabled operations that accelerate delivery and improve accuracy and consistency. As the Platform grows and demand increases, delivery workflows — particularly feature intake, capturing business requirements and use cases, solution and sizing, prioritization, and full testing accuracy and execution — have become resource-intensive, complex, and difficult to scale. This role will uncover experiences, build requirements, and partner closely with our AI technology team to deliver AI solutions that streamline key stages of the delivery lifecycle — from intake and business requirements definition through development and deployment — reducing cycle times, minimizing rework, and enabling teams to focus on higher-value activities. The AI Solutions Specialist is also an enabler and multiplier for the broader GPB organization: well-versed in business AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude, sharing best practices, producing GPB-specific trainings, and ensuring teams can effectively leverage emerging AI capabilities and embed AI into day-to-day operations. This role directly supports a scalable operating model that can meet growing demand without proportional resource increases — delivering faster delivery cycles through automation of intake, prioritization, and execution processes; improved quality and consistency with reduced manual errors and rework; increased capacity by eliminating low-value, repetitive tasks; and stronger decision-making through AI-driven insights and predictive intelligence. AI fluency has been identified by GPB leadership as a critical capability to deliver on strategic priorities and meet future business needs over the next three years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
  • 3+ years of functional experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a directly related role such as AI/automation enablement, business analysis, solutions consulting, process improvement, or platform operations.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience applying business AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) and/or automation platforms (e.g., Power Automate) to real business workflows.
  • Track record of gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and partnering with technical teams to deliver solutions from concept through deployment.
  • AI Fluency: Deep working knowledge of business AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude, including practical prompt engineering, capability assessment, and knowing when (and when not) to apply AI to a workflow.
  • Process Analysis & Workflow Automation: Strong instinct for breaking down complex delivery workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and redesigning processes for intelligent execution.
  • Requirements Definition: Skilled at translating business needs into structured requirements, use cases, and BRDs that technical teams can deliver against.
  • Platform & Business Acumen: Ability to quickly develop deep familiarity with Xvantage™, the delivery lifecycle, and the broader Ingram Micro ecosystem.
  • Change Leadership: Proven ability to champion new tools and ways of working, build adoption momentum, and bring teams along with clarity and empathy.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable defining metrics, measuring impact, and using data and AI-driven insights to inform prioritization and decision-making.
  • Responsible AI Judgment: Understanding of data privacy, accuracy validation, and appropriate human oversight when deploying AI in business processes.
  • Communication & Presentation: Polished written and verbal communicator; comfortable presenting AI concepts and solution results clearly to audiences from working teams to senior leadership.
  • Strong command of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint); experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Jira, and Confluence preferred.
  • General proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.
  • A four-year college degree (or additional experience in a related field) and 3 years' functional experience including a minimum 1-year position specific experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and delivering training or enablement programs strongly preferred.
  • Preferred: Active project or program management certification such as PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP, or equivalent; AI, automation, or Power Platform certifications a plus.
  • Training & Enablement: Able to design and deliver engaging trainings, playbooks, and best-practice content that makes AI approachable for non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: Completed project or program management certification including: Certified Project Manager (IAPM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ®, Project Management Professional (PMP) ®, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other equivalents.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover experiences and build requirements to shift manual, effort-driven processes to intelligent, automated workflows that accelerate delivery and improve accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize high-impact AI and automation use cases across the delivery lifecycle — feature intake, business requirements and use case capture, solution and sizing, prioritization, and testing.
  • Document current-state workflows, quantify pain points, and define clear target-state designs and success criteria for each AI solution.
  • Translate business needs into structured requirements, use cases, and BRDs that the AI technology team can build against.
  • Work closely with the AI technology team on the delivery of AI solutions, serving as the business-side owner from concept through development and deployment.
  • Streamline key stages of the delivery lifecycle — from intake and business requirements definition through development and deployment — reducing cycle times and minimizing rework.
  • Pilot, test, and iterate on AI solutions with working teams; validate outputs for accuracy, quality, and fit before scaling.
  • Improve full testing accuracy and execution through AI-assisted approaches, reducing manual errors and rework.
  • Enable teams to focus on higher-value activities by eliminating low-value, repetitive tasks through automation.
  • Maintain deep, hands-on fluency in business AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and emerging AI tools; evaluate new capabilities as they become available.
  • Share best practices and produce GPB-specific trainings, playbooks, and enablement materials that raise AI fluency across the organization.
  • Upskill and enable the broader GPB organization, ensuring teams can effectively leverage emerging AI capabilities and embed AI into day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as an AI champion and change agent — building confidence, driving adoption, and helping teams navigate new ways of working.
  • Leverage AI to improve daily task efficiency and drive better decision-making through data-driven insights and predictive intelligence.
  • Define and track KPIs that quantify efficiency gains, quality improvements, capacity created, and delivery-cycle acceleration from AI adoption.
  • Contribute to a scalable operating model that supports growing demand without proportional resource increases.
  • Apply sound judgment on responsible AI use — data handling, accuracy validation, and appropriate human oversight — in line with company policies and guidelines.
