Make a difference The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards. Within our Shipping & Operations area, a primary responsibility for this role involves the packing of medications. This includes accurately preparing packages for dispatch and entering all relevant shipping information into our designated portal. Additionally, you will be involved in medication filling processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications to various units, and performing non-sterile compounding as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required
  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required
  • National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 -3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing
  • Deliver medications, and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion
  • Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base
  • Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement
  • Perform basic compounding and calculations
  • Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Problem solve advanced complexity tasks
  • Act as a technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases
  • Accurately prepare packages for dispatch
  • Enter all relevant shipping information into our designated portal
  • Involved in medication filling processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to various units
