About The Position

Ranpak Corporation seeks a Sr. Perception Engineer in Shelton, Connecticut, to develop advanced software modules for robotic perception systems. The role requires hands-on experience developing robotics and machine perception systems, along with the ability to build robust, production-ready software and maintain and extend large-scale software libraries.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 4 years of experience as an Engineer.
• Hands-on experience developing robotics and machine perception systems in C++.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• At least 3 years of experience with OpenCV and the Point Cloud Library (PCL).
• Proficiency in Modern C++, with a deep understanding of RAII, the STL, templates, and contemporary language features.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience developing robust, production-ready software systems.
• Experience maintaining and extending large-scale software libraries.
• Proficiency with ROS and other robotics middleware frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with parallel computing technologies, including TBB and CUDA.
• Strong command of linear algebra libraries such as Eigen.
• Background applying machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
• Proficiency with modern version control workflows using Git.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
