The Sr. People Analytics Consultant will be a key role working across Human Resources and with key business stakeholders to facilitate discussions on data needs, structure and guide analytical efforts, in order to translate findings into presentations and recommendations to drive action. A week in the life of this role may include such activities as; facilitating a working session on defining leading indicators for talent strategies, designing and conducting custom reports and analyses to identify attrition themes, and presenting to leaders on the business value of improving the cultural fit of new hires.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Business Intelligence or related consulting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong consulting, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills – to partner with others to define needs and develop analytical strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot across multiple functional areas
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including a strong ability to visually convey information and insights through graphs, charts, and other means
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with confidential HR and proprietary data
  • Ability to conduct analyses (incorporating data from multiple sources) to identify patterns and trends
  • Ability to tell compelling stories with data (and explaining technical details to non-technical audiences)
  • Understanding of Human Resource concepts such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, talent management, etc.
  • Customer service and problem solving mindset
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with comfort presenting to management

Nice To Haves

  • Solid working knowledge of general HCM functionality, Applicant Tracking Systems, and reporting software.
  • Experience in Workday a plus

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Data-Driven Thinking – partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand their workforce-related priorities, translate needs into data questions and analytical projects, and support post analysis action planning and recommendations
  • Lead Deep Dive Analyses – manipulate, integrate and transform data through a variety of tools to determine trends or address hypotheses; this may also include the creation of new data collection channels (e.g., external sources, research, surveys)
  • Develop Influential Visuals and Stories – effectively translate data collection methodologies and analytical results into stories and presentations that help organizational leaders to understand the opportunities, most impactful findings, and to otherwise inform decision making / action-planning
  • Foster Continuous Improvement – stay current on analytical trends and related research (e.g. ethical data collection approaches and/or innovative visuals) to help challenge and improve the ways the people analytics team operates and serves internal customers
  • Manage Special Projects and Ad Hoc Requests – provide support as needed to data requests and custom needs as well as take on project roles related to people analytics
