About The Position

The Senior Payroll Advisor will lead processing payroll for our U.S. and Canada employees. This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing for specified populations of up to 3,000 employees. The Position will report to the Payroll Manager and will align activities to the direct needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Processing payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees
  • Providing payroll tier 2 level support
  • Aligning and educating business stakeholders on payroll processes, compliance, and activities
  • Demonstrating critical thinking and expertise in payroll programs and processes
  • Managing payroll taxation, jurisdictional requirements, payroll processes, employment related regulations, and best practices
  • Resolving routine issues and questions within the scope of existing practices
  • Communicating and implementing payroll aspects and associated training sessions, communications for new programs
  • Providing customer service to employees and effectively communicating all payroll-related information
  • Managing and processing payroll, analyzing data to identify and resolve errors
  • Managing payroll allocations and providing direction to corporate operations teams and employees
  • Collaborating and communicating across functions including HR, IT, Finance, etc.
  • Supporting the submission of tax, garnishments, and bank files to appropriate external agencies
  • Maintaining confidential department records and office files
  • Maintaining direct ownership of tasks/projects
  • Creating/editing ad-hoc reports within the HR/Payroll software and providing accurate data to management
  • Serving as the HR Payroll point of contact for employees
  • Maintaining strong HR/Payroll policy knowledge
  • Completing special projects/duties as assigned

Responsibilities
