About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network, aiming to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to underserved areas. The Global Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Senior Partner Development Manager to support its growing partner ecosystem in Latin America. This role focuses on serving as the primary technical point of contact for strategic reseller partners, technology solution distributors (TSDs), and systems integrators who deliver Amazon Leo satellite connectivity to end customers across various verticals. The position requires technical leadership and advocacy for partners, ensuring they maintain high technical standards in service delivery, deployment, management, and support of Amazon Leo satellite connectivity. The role involves technical discussions on service implementation, integration, support escalations, and optimization, as well as providing proactive technical guidance and coordinating onboarding and integration projects. This position may be subject to export control laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience participating in or leading technical collaborations and creating alignment across diverse groups (e.g., hardware engineering, software engineering, program management).
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with operational and troubleshooting functions across two or more of the following technical domains: Networking, back-office integration, wireless telecommunications (satellite or cellular), cloud integration, partner systems integration.
  • Working knowledge of satellite communication systems including LEO/GEO architectures, RF fundamentals, link budgets, and antenna systems.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting across L2/L3 protocols, routing, switching, and WAN technologies.
  • Understanding of BSS/OSS integration patterns, API connectivity, and system integration architectures for telecommunications service providers.
  • Experience managing technical relationships with reseller partners, systems integrators, or technology distributors.
  • Export Control Requirement: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) or telecommunications/satellite industry certifications.
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, predictive analytics, and proactive network health management.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN deployment, AWS integration patterns (Direct Connect, VPN, hybrid architectures), and cloud-native networking.
  • Understanding of SCADA systems, IoT connectivity, or industrial network architectures.
  • Experience developing partner technical training programs and certification frameworks.
  • Proven ability to diagnose complex multi-vendor integration issues across satellite, terrestrial, and cloud networks.
  • Experience with 24/7 operational monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar).
  • Background in incident management, SLA compliance, technical escalation procedures, and Tier 3 support.
  • Experience with partner performance monitoring, technical KPIs, and service quality metrics.
  • Understanding of partner business models including reseller operations, systems integration, and technology distribution in LATAM markets.
  • Familiarity with LATAM telecommunications regulatory environments (ANATEL in Brazil, IFT in Mexico, SUBTEL in Chile, or equivalent national regulators).
  • Additional language proficiency in French (business proficient — CEFR B2 or equivalent) for coverage of French-speaking Caribbean and Guiana markets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for strategic LATAM partners post-launch, ensuring optimal performance and technical success of Amazon Leo service delivery through partner channels.
  • Provide proactive technical guidance to partner technical teams, monitoring performance metrics and conducting regular technical reviews to maintain high service delivery standards.
  • Coordinate partner onboarding and integration projects, managing timelines, dependencies, and technical milestones across multiple partner accounts in the LATAM region.
  • Manage technical support processes for partner-reported issues, ensuring rapid resolution and maintaining partner confidence in Amazon Leo technical capabilities.
  • Coordinate engineering support resources and drive technical optimization initiatives across the LATAM partner ecosystem.
  • Engage partners and their field teams in technical workshops and focused meetings — conducted primarily in Portuguese and Spanish — to communicate technical best practices and post-sales support protocols.
  • Develop and refine partner-facing technical collateral, integration guides, and troubleshooting documentation in Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Work closely with Partner Account Managers (PAMs) to align technical operations with business objectives while maintaining Amazon Leo's high standards for system performance.
  • Coordinate with Customer Delivery Engineers (CDEs) and Customer Delivery Managers (CDMs) for complex partner integrations requiring custom technical solutions or project coordination.
  • Enable rapid problem-solving protocols through direct operational integration and coordination with internal engineering teams.
  • Monitor partner service delivery quality, technical KPIs, and operational health metrics to drive continuous improvement across the LATAM region.
