DESCRIPTION: Join our innovative R&D team, where you'll contribute to developing next-generation electron microscopy and analytical instruments that enable groundbreaking scientific discoveries. As a Systems Design Engineer III, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create sophisticated solutions that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Work with advanced technologies including electron optics, high-precision mechanics, advanced software, and automated systems while driving innovation in fields ranging from semiconductor manufacturing to life sciences research.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience developing complex technical systems, preferably in electron microscopy or semiconductor equipment
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering principles including requirements management, architecture development, and integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience using statistical methods and DOE
  • Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, CAD)
  • Experience with some combination of: electron optics, high voltage systems, vacuum technology, precision mechanics, motion control, or automation
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills
  • Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Proficient English language skills required
  • Demonstrated innovation and problem solving ability
  • Strong focus on product quality, reliability and customer needs

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related technical field
  • Additional specialized certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Six Sigma) beneficial
  • Experience with regulated environments (FDA, ISO) and quality systems preferred
  • Project management capabilities and experience leading development programs
